Mission

Paupack Point Water Association, Inc. (PPWA) was established in 1975 and provides drinking water services to its members in Paupack Point.  Our drinking water comes from two wells located on Fifth and Seventh Streets.

Our mission is to work to ensure a healthy environment and high quality of life through effective and sustainable management of resources entrusted to our care.

To do this, PPWA maintains the water distribution pipelines and conducts monthly contaminant testing of the water system in accordance with the monitoring and reporting requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. PPWA provides drinking water that meets all the standards required by the Safe Drinking Water Act, which is enforced by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

PPWA is a non-profit corporation of the State and is not a department of Wayne County. This means all PPWA income is received from an annual assessment of its members which goes toward operating expenses and special assessments, when required, to fund capital improvements.

As the number of PPWA members who decide to make Paupack Point their primary residence or just spend more time at their homes on the Point, water usage is expected to continue to increase. PPWA continues to plan for the growth and actions are underway to improve our water systems and capacity.
