Backflow Prevention

All PPWA members were required to have a Backflow Prevention Valve installed by 31 May 2022 if the member’s home is serviced by the 7th Street Well and 30 September 2022 if the home is serviced by the 5th Street Well.  This valve will be installed at the member’s cost and by a plumber of the member’s choosing.   Once the valve has been installed, members must email or call the Association to schedule a visual inspection of the valve. Homes that were not visually inspected in 2022 will be contacted to schedule an appointment. Failure to complete the installation will result in suspension of water service.  The full background and an address listing of Members’ servicing well can be found in the Paupack Point Water Association Membership Meeting Minutes (6 September 2021) or by contacting the Association.  NOTE:  The six homes serviced with above ground water service lines had an install no later than date of 15 April 2023.
